2010 World Innovation Forum recap

World Innovation Forum

"Ideas that spread, win."

"Replace the fear of the unknown with curiosity."

"Don't think outside the box; find a good box and think inside it."

The 2010 World Innovation Forum held June 8-9 in New York City was packed with pearls like these, offering some of the world's best and largest companies a way to start thinking differently about how innovation happens, and how change can occur.

Business leaders, including the CEOs of Pfizer and Xerox (both Imaginatik clients), talked about the change they effect within their own organizations, and how large-scale innovation can permeate a business culture as long as leadership embeds it in the heart of everything they do. As noted by Jon Bidwell, chief innovation officer at the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies, "80% of our people want to help; you have to give them a point of purchase in order to empower them to help."
